Katy Perry's new single, 'Roar,' is getting a ton of press -- unfortunately, for mostly bad reasons. The undeniably catchy tune is catching the attention of music critics and Lady Gaga fans, who keep pointing out that it sounds almost identical to Sara Bareilles' 'Brave' -- igniting a "stan war" between the Katy Cats and the Little Monsters.

So how did the trifecta of musical ladies respond?

Perry hasn't responded to allegations of copying 'Brave,' though she did praise the song when it was initially released:

Prior to the official release of 'Roar,' it was thought that perhaps Perry sampled Bareilles' hit, but Bareilles doesn't appear anywhere in the writing credits for the track. You can listen to the songs side by side below. Whether the similarities were intentional or not, they're undeniably similar.

Gaga fans jumped all over the hullabaloo, creating an imaginary rivalry between Perry and the 'ARTPOP' songstress -- a rivalry that the ladies don't have in real life.

In fact, Gaga tried to calm her Little Monsters' monstrous behavior by reaching out to Perry herself about the leak, writing, "Wanna grab some shovels and f--- up some hackers? @katyperry excited to hear your 'ROAR,' sorry to hear about your truck!"

This was Perry's response to Gaga: "What a WILD weekend so far... claws out, paws up! Looking forward to puttin' my hands up and making them touch too!

In short? There's nothing but love between these pop princesses. Probably because all this controversy is only helping their record sales.
