Ricky Gervais, Selena Gomez, Richard Roeper + More in Celebrity Tweets of the Day
Today was just another hump day in the celebrity Twitterverse, with multiple celebs commenting on CNN’s Boston reporting blunder.
First up are some reactions to CNN falsely reporting that the culprit in the Boston bombings had been apprehended. Rainn Wilson of ‘The Office’ came up with a new acronym for the network:
Seems @cnn stands for “Certify News Never”. (Twitter stands up, applauds, throws panties)

Actress Rashida Jones also had some commentary on the state of journalism:
It’s official: the news hates facts but they LOVE breaking stories.

As did film critic and reporter Richard Roeper, who chided his colleagues and himself:
Not a shining couple of hours for the media. I include myself in that criticism for Retweeting reports that turned out to be inaccurate.

Meanwhile, ex-ballplayer Jose Canseco was either choking up or experiencing an allergic reaction to the late Margaret Thatcher’s funeral:
Lump in my throat watching Margaret Thatcher

And comedian Ricky Gervais was busy insulting his followers:
I love the fact that many of you are really thick with no sense of humour. It amuses me. Thank you.

During that, Selena Gomez was goading your children to push you further into debt:
