Miley Cyrus has been acting out a bit lately, but according to the singer herself, it's okay because you're supposed to be a mess in your 20s. Case in point? Her supposed bestie, Britney Spears, who had her own trouble in her younger (and more prone to getting a drastic haircut) days.

Now Miley is saying the two have bonded over their constant media scrutiny, and she's glad to have a friend who gets her.

"Everyone goes through a time in their life where they don't want their picture taken every day," revealed Cyrus to the Huffington Post UK, not understanding that non-celebrities don't have this problem. "[Britney] just never had that time where she could say, 'I'm going through something right now and need to shut down.' I also don't have that, so it's good to have that one person in my life who gets it."

Even though Spears isn't really in her life. Unless her life is Twitter.

She also revealed that they get along so well because they understand what it's like when your personal life takes precedence over your music, a la Justin Bieber. Although one could argue that if you want your music to be the most important thing, you should probably focus more on the music.

Continued Cyrus, "I just think it's never blaming you or making you feel like, ‘You've got all this going for you,' it's like she knows. Sometimes life just steps in the middle of your career the way life always does for anyone—it's just ours is a little more 24/7."

The duo have bonded over social media, with Spears asking Cyrus to teach her how to twerk in light of her 'We Can't Stop' music video. Now that we'd pay to see.
