Michael Lohan dropped some of what people assumed were truth bombs over the weekend about his famously troubled (but recovering) daughter, Lindsay Lohan. But lo and behold! It turns out he -- or tabloids -- may not be so credible after all.

Michael reportedly told The Sun that Lindsay first overdosed on cocaine when she was 18 years old, which contradicted her own claims that she didn't try coke until she was 21 -- and that she's only done it four or five times. "Lindsay was filming in New Orleans and I got a call saying she had overdosed on cocaine," Michael said of his daughter's time filming 'Just My Luck' in 2005.

"One of her assistants had given her the drug. I was so angry I got a gun from the house and planned to go to New Orleans to kill him," he admitted. "I couldn't believe what had happened to my daughter. I was just so angry."

Michael wound up not killing the guy because he got pulled over and arrested for a DUI himself. Oh.

Now, Michael considers himself an authority on rehab and recovery, and he' still worried that Lilo's going to fall off the wagon. "There will be no more second or third chances. She has got to stay clean and sober this time," he said of La Lohan's rep for relapsing and losing work.

He added, "She takes Adderall and vodka. The combination just turns the brain to mush. People who do that are zonked out."

Of course, he doesn't have too high hopes for her. "The odds of someone relapsing after treatment at a residential center are something like 97 percent, so they're not really in her favor," Michael lamented. "But with support from her family I hope she can overcome this."

Of course, Michael later denied he said half of this.

"I didn't even confirm she was in the hospital or overdosed [on coke]," he ranted to Radar Online. " ... They came to do a story about the rehabs I work with and how Lindsay and I have turned our lives and how our family has grown closer through this. Instead, this is what you get. It's disgusting."

Right. Almost as disgusting as selling out your kid to promote your clinics. Take a seat, sir.
