Lily Collins and Jamie Campbell Bower, co-stars in 'The Mortal Instruments,' proved that even romance isn't immortal, with their romance dying just before their new movie hits theaters.

The couple had been dating since they met on set in July 2012 and split only recently, before embarking on their press tour for the film.

A source told Us Weekly, "They've been really good about doing the press tour together for their movie. They were able to stay friendly."

This isn't the first time Collins or Campbell Bower has dated a co-star and had big breakup news just around the film's release. He was engaged to his 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1' co-star Bonnie Wright before splitting quietly in June 2012.

Collins, meanwhile, pulled a similar love stunt with her 'Abduction' co-star Taylor Lautner from November 2010 to September 2011 before eventually moving on to Zac Efron later that year.

Anyone else expecting a reunion between these two if the first weekend numbers aren't great? Just a theory!
