Lady Gaga + the Osbourne Ladies Are Fighting to the Death in an Internet Battle Royale

After Lady Gaga penned an open letter to Kelly Osbourne that essentially told her to stop being such a bitch (we’re paraphrasing here), Sharon Osbourne jumped in to defend her daughter. As a result, insults are being hurled and fans on both sides are involved in heated slapfights.

In other news: Timmy pulled Susan’s hair during recess and now he has detention.

The whole thing started a while back when Kelly said something snarky on E!’s ‘Fashion Police’ about Gaga’s much-publicized recent weight gain. That ignited the ire of Gaga’s fans, who directed some nasty comments to Kelly via Twitter.

Osbourne patriarch Sharon then emailed Gaga’s label boss Vince Herbert, told him Kelly was getting death threats, and asked him to get involved, saying, “I’m leaving it in your hands to do the right thing here. One tweet from Gaga can change this whole situation. I’m not asking her to deal with this directly but if she could tweet something to her fans about being more respectful that may end this.”

Apparently Gaga didn’t appreciate that one little bit — and we can’t really blame her. Why didn’t Sharon go to Gaga herself instead of basically pinning a note to her back that said her daddy needed to call the school?

So in a public letter to Kelly, Mother Monster first complimented the ‘Fashion Police’ host on her newly slimmed-down bod, and then called upon her to stop being such a meanie because she herself should know what it’s like to be picked on for her weight and appearance.

Here’s a bit of the missive:

“Your work on E! with the ‘Fashion Police’ is rooted in criticism, judgment, and rating people’s beauty against one another Your show breeds negativity, and over the years has even become comedic in nature. It glorifies you and Joan Rivers pointing in the camera, laughing, and making jokes about artists and celebrities as if we are zoo animals.”

Afterwards, the world’s least frightening gang, the Little Monsters, got fired up again, sending the Osbournes “libelous, slanderous and vile comments” and aiming more death threats at Kelly. And Sharon again stepped in.

Addressing Gaga directly this time, Mama Osbourne wrote a public letter of her own (excerpted below):

“I am calling you a bully because you have 32 million followers hanging on your every word and you are criticizing Kelly in your open letter.”

“Are you so desperate that you needed to make this public? You are nothing more than a publicity seeking hypocrite and an attention seeker.

“Stop looking for publicity and stop using your fans to belittle not just Kelly but an endless stream of celebrities … A word from you would stop all this hideous, negative and vile threats from your ‘little monsters.’

Let me know if you want to continue this debate. I’m an open playing field for you my darling.”

In other words, pick on someone your own size, yo. And since this is a woman married to a dude who bites the heads off various winged animals, we’re guessing she could hold her own.

Then again, Gaga has a fairly formidable army. Now is the hour, little monsters to arms. Ride for your Mother Monster! Ride for freedom!
