It's "official," meaning FOX has finally decided to address what everyone knew months ago: Khloe Kardashian will not be returning to host season three of the 'X Factor.'

Fellow host Mario Lopez, on the other hand, is allowed to come back because dude, have you seen him without a shirt?

The producers didn't give a specific reason for letting the non-Kardashian-looking Kardashian go, merely saying in a statement, "We really enjoyed working with her and wish her all the best in her future endeavors."

Which in layman's terms translates to "she had a hard time reading words from a teleprompter."

Show creator Simon Cowell, who made zero mention of Khloe's departure in his own official statement, simply said, "I’m thrilled Mario is back for Season Three of 'The X Factor.' Hosting a live show and keeping the judges — especially Demi — in line, is not an easy job, but Mario is a pro and we are glad he’s coming back."

Poor Khloe ... you know it's bad when even a nip-slip won't keep you in Simon's good graces.
