Kate Hudson -- free spirit extraordinaire, fashionista and daughter of Goldie Hawn -- laughed at convention and left her house with no makeup on to pick up her son Ryder from his karate class in Brentwood, Calif. last year.

This is of course before her stint on 'Glee' as a perpetually alcoholic dance teacher and before she dropped from healthy to frighteningly skeletal. (Please eat a cheeseburger for us. An Oreo. A Tic-Tac. Something.)

But maybe her fuller form when this photo was taken is thanks to the fact that Kate had recently given birth to bouncing baby Bingham -- which would certainly explain the ample decolletage on display.
