The wrath of the Kardashians is about to rain down in court -- seems Kim, Kourtney and Khloe are suing their stepmother for selling their late father’s journals and photos to the tabloids. Maybe because they didn't think to do it first.

The lawsuit alleges that Robert Kardashian’s widow, Ellen Pearson (who married the famed attorney about two months before he died) carried out a “despicable and unlawful scheme to hold in secret and convert, and now exploit … private personal and copyright protected” material when she released Kardashians diaries to In Touch and Life & Style magazines.

The Kardashian sisters are pissed because, according to them, their father left those personal items to them. They say his will gave them the rights to the “bulk of his personal tangible and intangible property,” which, in their opinion, included diaries, journals, personal photos and “copyrights, publishing rights, and rights to a deceased personality’s name, voice, signature, photograph, or likeness.”

They also claim in the suit that Pearson purposely hid the journals and photos and didn’t declare them when she filed for bankruptcy in 2010, knowing full well that the famous Kardashian name meant she could make money off the materials later on.

The lawsuit further alleges that the evil stepmother “sought to peddle and exploit, and disclosed to tabloid and other media, the private and valuable personal papers of Robert Kardashian.”

Which is apparently what they wanted to do but now can’t.

They’re suing Pearson for “conversion and copyright infringement” and “at least $500,000 in damages, plus more in profits, statutory damages, punitive and exemplary damages.” But what they really should be doing is giving Ellen Pearson a big hug.

She’s officially one of the family now.
