Gwyneth Paltrow's GOOP -- known for selling $99 T-shirts and other ridiculously expensive items -- may have met its match in rapper/baby daddy/fashion designer Kanye West. His capsule collection for A.P.C. that featured a $120 plain white tee? Sold out in no time.

Yeezy's clothing collabo with the French ready-to-wear line -- or "prêt-a-porter," if you wanna use fancy fashionspeak -- is essentially just a collection of basics like hoodies, jeans and plain tees that are insanely pricey.

There's no splash in the way of details and no interesting cuts or construction. In essence, it's an utter snoozefest.

We're baffled that the nine-piece line, which went live online at 10AM in Paris on Sunday, crashed the A.P.C. site and sold out (pre-orders are still being taken). We're equally perplexed by the fact that the company's Jean Touitou said the collection took two years (!!!) to create.

Two years to make the same tees and jeans that you can get at the GAP for a fraction of the cost? What are we missing here?

“Over the months, we kept hanging out and finally came up with the idea of doing a small capsule collection of clothes together,” Touitou said in a statement. "'Small' meaning that this capsule collection consists of a jean, a hoodie and a T-shirt. Those are precious to me and to Kanye too, because it took time and thoughts to get there."

Yeah, we're not seeing it. Even the worst 'Project Runway' rejects do better and more detailed work then this. As Nina Garcia would say, where's the point of view?

The white tee is described as a "very loose t-shirt in Egyptian cotton," and for a Benny and more, you get a reinforced neckline and shoulders with "A.P.C KANYE" silkscreened inside. All that for $120! WHAT A STEAL.

Additionally, a hoodie in compact fleece comes with a $280 price tag. (Drop the zero at the end and divide by two -- that's what you'd pay at Old Navy for the same thing.) "Kanye Jeans" are a mere $265.

See the pieces below or on the A.P.C. site. Just try not to nod off when you do.
