George Lucas + Mellody Hobson Set to Tie the Knot This Summer

Director George Lucas will wed his longtime girlfriend Mellody Hobson on June 29th in Chicago.

May the (marital) force be with them.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the couple plans to tie the knot at the Chicago Peninsula Hotel. (The Windy City locale is near and dear to George's beloved -- Mellody is the head of Chicago-based investment and management firm Ariel Investments.)

They couple got engaged back in January, and considering Lucas recently sold the rights to 'Star Wars' to Disney for $4 billion, we expect a pretty lavish ceremony with maybe Yoda as ring-bearer and Obi-Wan Kenobi as the officiant.

The bride will be given away by former New Jersey Senator Bill Bradley, who may or may not be dressed like Chewbacca. In our minds, anyway.
