Let Gael Garcia Bernal Spice Up Your Life – The Daily Swoon
Former Mexican soap opera heartthrob turned amazing and highly respected actor Gael Garcia Bernal sure knows how to turn up the heat.
Gael Garcia Bernal hails from Mexico, where he’s been acting since he was a tiny baby. He spent his teens working as a soap actor in his native country, where he even took some time to help teach the indigenous peoples of Mexico how to read.
It wasn’t until 2000 that he gained major notoriety as an actor, with roles in films like ‘Amores Perros’ and ‘Y Tu Mama Tambien.’ You might have also seen him in ‘The Motorcycle Diaries,’ in which he played notorious revolutionary Che Guevara. Or maybe in the whimsical rom-com-drama ‘The Science of Sleep.’ Or in the prestigious drama ‘Babel’ with Brad Pitt.
Recently he starred in ‘Casa de Mi Padre’ (with Will Ferrell, and marking his third time working with friend and fellow actor Diego Luna), ‘No,’ and ‘The Loneliest Planet.’ You can see him next in Jon Stewart’s directorial debut, ‘Rosewater.’
In addition to acting, Garcia Bernal also directs and produces. Movies! He produces movies. But he also produces tingly feelings when you look at him.
I mean, when I first saw the photo below, I tried to introduce myself to my computer.
