Made for only $12 million, 'The Fault in Our Stars' went on to make over $300 million worldwide. It's a full-on young adult phenomenon. But, even if you've sobbed your way through the tragic love story of Hazel and Gus multiple times, you still might not know everything there is to know about the movie. That's where we come in.

For example, did you know that Hazel Grace Lancaster (as played by Shailene Woodley in the film) is inspired a real girl that author John Green met at a Harry Potter fan convention. Her name was Esther Earl and in 2006 she was diagnosed with metastasized papillary thyroid cancer (and also had to wear and carry an oxygen tank, like Hazel). Sadly, Esther never got to see the film brought to life as cancer took her life in 2010 at the age of 16. This is just one of the bits of trivia (which, we promise, aren't all this depressing!) packed into the latest episode of You Think You Know Movies, which focuses on the modern classic 'The Fault in Our Stars'.

'You Think You Know Movies?' is a ScreenCrush original series that dives deep into the cinematic worlds of your favorite movies and freeze frames a few tidbits you might not have known. We've already tackled 'Star Wars,' 'The Avengers' and 'Spider-Man,' but, with 'The Fault in Our Stars' on DVD and Blu-ray, it's time to focus our attention on one of the biggest surprise hits of 2014.
