The 2013 People's Choice Awards on Jan. 9 featured more well-dressed stars than questionably-attired ones -- which, of course, makes style watching infinitely less fun. But make no mistake. There were some clunkers among the gems. The problematic outfits were either too casual or just plain sloppy attempts to be dressy.

While many snipe that even prestigious awards like the Oscars are nothing but giant popularity contests, the People's Choice Awards is exactly that -- and proudly so.
Thousands of voters weighed in on their favorite actors, actresses and singers plus a whole slew of other categories -- seriously, like, a hundred of them -- and on Wednesday, Jan. 9, the winners were announced in a ceremony at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles hosted by 'The Big Bang Theory' star Kaley Cuoco.
