Britney Spears Banishes Booze From ‘X Factor’ Set
Seems our little Brit-Brit won’t have anything interesting in those Pepsi cups on ‘X Factor.’
In fact, Britney Spears‘ contract rider strictly prohibited alcohol from being present on set even during the audition phases of the show, because the pop tart is walking the straight and narrow when it comes to her new, multi-million dollar gig — and given her massive paycheck, we can’t blame her for avoiding temptation.
The booze ban read as follows: “Very important: We require you to empty the minibars of all alcohol. And no gifts of wine or any other alcoholic beverages, please.”
While emptying a hotel minibar usually incurs a charge equivalent to a small nation’s GDP (or at least invites trouble if you start drunk texting), this is one of the biggest pop stars in the world we’re talking about here. Brit’s team is keeping a watchful eye on their little cash cow and aimed to avoid any drunken outbursts by stripping the libations from the set, at least in areas where the singer and mom-of-two would be.
On top of that, Simon Cowell surely didn’t want his new judges’ panel acquisition — who’s expected to bring viewers by the boatload — to be tossing ‘em back and then pulling another one of those head-shaving stunts. Even if it would be awesome for ratings.
