Best + Worst Dressed of the Week: Keri Russell, Kendra Wilkinson, Fergie, Kris Jenner + More

Leather seemed to be the fabric du jour for celebs this week — we saw it in all sorts of cuts and pieces, from dresses to pants.

But while actress Keri Russell was a headturner in her long-sleeved, emerald green leather The Row dress, reality star Kendra Wilkinson looked like she wore a converted Hefty trash bag in her confusing and, well, trashy dress.

The Best:

Keri Russell’s dress by The Row, which is Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s high-end line, was the hands down best of the week and a shining example of why the Olsen trolls, er, twins are winning fashion industry design awards.

The cut is simple and classic, and it needs to be, since the fabric is innately sexy. We also adore the scoop neck. The sleeves end just above the wrist and the hem right above the knee, so a perfect amount of skin is showing.

Well-played by Miss Russell, who wore the dress to the FX upfronts in NYC. The one-shouldered waves are also a lovely accent and help us forget her Felicity chop.

Rosario Dawson‘s belted salmon Bottega Veneta dress, which she donned for the NYC ‘Trance’ premiere, landed her on this list because the silhouette is so unique. The asymmetry of the zippered neckline and the voluminous sleeves are high fashion.

On anyone with a porcelain or peaches and cream complexion, this would wash ’em out — but it totally pops against the actress’s mocha skin.

Emmy Rossum‘s ice blue Temperley dress, with its princess-y, ’50s housewife shape, is a “wow” fashion moment and a harbinger of spring. The print is delicate, and we’re crushing on the contrast between the prim and proper dress and her bedhead waves. Her metallic silver heels are TDF — to die for.

Rossum’s style has been beyond adorbs as of late.

The Worst:

Kendra Wilkinson’s leather dress is trashy and looks cheap. The leather is thin and the peachy pink panels, which mimic skin, are ugly and unnecessary. Why not just go strapless? Jennifer Aniston and sometime nemesis Angelina Jolie both have proven that black leather frocks can be sexy and classic, but it seems K. Wilk missed that memo.

Yes, we’re picking on the pregnant ladies again — only this time it’s not Kim Kardashian, it’s Fergie. Her loud outfit mixes prints, and not in the good way. She looks like she borrowed those pants from a retirement home in Miami.

We can’t go a week without taking aim at a Kardashian, but that’s because they usually earn it (and let’s be real, they love any kind of attention, positive or negative). This week, family matriarch Kris Jenner was the target after stepping out in London in an outfit entirely too young for a 57-year-old woman.

The waxed jeans are better suited for her kids, and the fingerless gloves? Those are the terrain of Karl Lagerfeld and Carrie Underwood. The boxy jacket is all wrong on her too.
