Annie Lennox Gets a New Husband and Free Lifetime Health Care

Angel-voiced Brit Annie Lennox got hitched for the third time this weekend to American gynecologist Dr. Mitch Besser. We're really, really hoping they didn't meet during her annual check-up.

The private ceremony took place Saturday on a boat in London's Thames River, witnessed by 150 family and friends. Lennox's daughters from a previous marriage were her bridesmaids, and notable guests included Oscar winner Colin Firth and comedienne Ruby Wax.

The newlyweds, both 57, hooked up thanks to their work on mothers2mothers, an African-based charity dedicated to reducing mother-to-child HIV transmission -- Besser founded the organization and Lennox raises money for it.

Which means that no, they didn't make their initial how-do-you-do's on an exam table with stirrups. Even if Dr. Besser now really is Annie’s missionary man.
