The rumors are true -- just not the rumors you were thinking.

Though there were rumblings that Adam Lambert would return to Fox as a possible 'American Idol' judge, it turns out he has another contract with the network: He's going to be on 'Glee.'

The 'Trespassing' singer has long been whispered to be involved with 'Glee,' but nothing ever came to fruition until this week when the show's creator, Ryan Murphy, announced Lambert's casting on Twitter.

There aren't any more details just yet as to what kind of role -- regular, recurring, character-based or playing himself -- Lambert will take, but it doesn't matter. What matters is that face, that voice and that attitude will be returning to TV.

The news comes on the heels of Murphy's recent announcement that other 'Glee' stars, including Heather Morris, Mark Salling, Amber Riley and Harry Shum, Jr. won't be returning as regulars.

Gleeks and Glamberts, unite: Lima, Ohio is about to get a lot more 'Cuckoo.'
